The UGA vs. Appalachian State football game is set for a 6:15 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday, September 2 for the Bulldogs’ home opener between the hedges at Sanford Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN.
Georgia and the Mountaineers have faced off against each other once before in each of the respective programs’ histories. The Bulldogs defeated Appalachian State 45-6 back on November 9, 2013 in front of 92,746 fans at Sanford Stadium.
Georgia plays its first away game at Notre Dame on Saturday, September 9, and per the Irish’s media contract, NBC will televise the 7:30 p.m. matchup. The Bulldogs open Southeastern Conference play at home with Mississippi State on Saturday, September 23, TBA.
