On the first half of the game…
“I just, well…it didn’t really matter to me what the outside people were talking about. Honestly, I just
prepared like we were playing Clemson like I did last week and like I did every game that I started and
every game that I have been here, I just prepared the same way. I knew that UAB won their conference
championship two out of the last three years…So I was prepared to go out there and it didn’t really matter
what everybody else said.”
#4 James Cook | Sr. | RB
On what UAB did to contain the run…
“They just played hard and got after us. We just have to strengthen a little bit harder on the offensive line, and we should be fine. We are going to get back to practice on Monday and fix things, and things should get better from there.”
On Stetson Bennett’s coolness…
“Ahhhh… the mailman. He’s just himself. He’s someone that’s always going to come in and work with excitement. He walks around the locker room singing. His spirit is always up, no matter what. Everything that he’s been through, he’s still one of those players that’s going to show up and work hard every day.”
