Regardless of your expectations for Georgia’s early enrollee quarterback Jacob Eason, he did not disappoint in front of a record Sanford Stadium crowd last Saturday. Eason’s stat line of 29 attempts and 19 completions for 244 yards with no interceptions and a touchdown is not too shabby. However, Coach Smart kept Eason performance in perspective in his post-game presser.
Here are Jacob Eason’s G-Day highlights.

Frankly Greg Poole That is not an unfair statement Frankly.
There was a lot of hype about Eason coming to UGA before the G-Day game and there is certainly more hype surrounding Eason and his arm after his G-Day performance. Add to that the energy in and around Sanford Stadium on a what I would call a historic G-Day, and my concern is that fans may expect too much; but, that is what fans sometimes do … for good and for bad.
Coach Smart is doing a good job of trying to temper those expectations, though.
I though Ramsey and the PWO, Nick Robinson looked good on Saturday too.

My comment was not about BI specifically. I’ve already seen the video of Eason highlights. I’m just commenting on the general mood on the QB situation and the over emphasis on a glorified scrimmage by the fan base .
Frankly I think I mentioned his incompletions (by giving his attempts/completions) in the article and Kirby does a nice job of dampening the fire – thus the inclusion of his remarks.
It’s interesting that this video was made of Eason’s highlights when a) one of the other QB’s also had a very good day and b) the video makes no mention of his 4 sacks or incompletions. Eason still has a LOT of growing to do to become a legit SEC QB and I am concerned about him being anointed by the fans before he is ready and there will be a fanbase revolt if he is not named the starter.
