On the team’s new ranking…
“Yeah, it is not going to really affect us. It is not going to change our practice plan. We are not paying a lot of attention to it; we are just focused on Kentucky right now.”

On Ladd McKonkey…
“We saw that in fall camp, Ladd was making plays. He was running with the ones, he was out there catching deep balls, catching everything. So, I was not surprised at all, I know that Ladd has that in him. I know that he will continue to make plays like that.”

On Kentucky’s defense…
“They definitely have a strong defensive line. They bring back a lot of experience which is going to be a challenge for us. Today the first two hours of meetings will be on Auburn and then we will switch gears to Kentucky. Last year’s game was physical. I think I saw that on my first drive, I think it was a 10-play drive match down the field, running the ball probably eight or nine times. It is going to be another physical one come Saturday.”

On Jalen Carter
“That is just another Jordan Davis on the field for us. If you have seen Jalen Carter already you have seen that he is athletic. He played basketball in high school; he can dunk. He is that big and can move like that…you can’t stop him. He is strong too.”

On players like Dan Jackson earning their spot…
“Honestly, I have so much respect for him. The fact of him coming in and just walking on. Any walk on that comes here I just have a huge amount of respect. It is not as much of a role just playing on special teams or you have been a scout player. He put himself in a position where he is playing on Saturdays. He is taking the notes, he is getting to do more not just as a scout player but with the team.”

On the new team ranking…
“That drives for me to keep it neutral, to keep it the same. Don’t try and change it up, don’t try and be someone you’re not. Don’t let being no.1 influence how you play them. A lot of people get over their head a little, we don’t need to start playing different or play like someone you have never played before. When you come to the University of Georgia you are always targeted.”
