The Georgia volleyball team split day two of the Wildcat Classic on Saturday, coming back from a five-set 2-3 morning battle with Wofford to win in straight sets over Florida Gulf Coast University this afternoon.

 
Rachel Ritchie capitalized on her show-stopping Friday night with 17 kills in each match on day two. Offensively, T’ara Ceasar strung together a total of six aces and 26 kills, as Meghan Donovan set up a total of 83 sets. Kendall Glover held down the defensive side with 28 digs.
 
 
As a team, Georgia (8-2) accumulated 17 aces in the morning match, which included Sydney Gilliam’s team-leading five. The last time Georgia had 14 or more aces in a match was on Aug. 28, 2010 vs. Coastal Carolina, and the last Georgia player to have five aces herself was Kaylee Kehoe on Sept. 20, 2014 against Alabama A&M.
 
 
Against Wofford (6-3), Georgia capped a close fi?rst-set with four-straight points, featuring kills from Ritchie and Majesti Bass, who had ten kills on the match, as did Kendall Kazor. In the second frame, the two teams stayed within two points of each other until Wofford pulled away with the 25-23 decision. The tight scoring continued into the third set – evened at 24, Wofford secured two final points to lead the match 2-1.
 
 
Georgia broke away from a nine-point tie and surged to a 25-14 fourth-set win. Led by serves from Cassidy Anderson and three kills from Ritchie, a seven-point run helped force the first five-set Bulldog match of the season. Wofford, however, held on for a 15-10 advantage over Georgia.
 
 
In the afternoon session against Florida Gulf Coast (5-4), Georgia settled the first frame with the use of Donovan’s 15 assists and Ritchie’s seven kills, before the Bulldogs cruised through the second set, led by seven kills from Ceasar. Georgia made the win official with a 25-23 third set.
 
 
The Bulldogs resume play at Kennesaw State on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., before returning home for five-straight games, beginning with Texas Tech on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
