Georgia volleyball fell in four sets to Missouri on Sunday afternoon at Stegeman Coliseum, dropping its longest conference win-streak since 2012.

 
“It’s good we have a full week of practice,” head coach Tom Black said, “so we can reset and get back to the things we want to keep getting better at, and get ready for Mississippi State.”
 
 
Sophomore setter Meghan Donovan recorded her 2,000th career assist at the end of the first frame. The native of St. Louis, Missouri already ranks ninth on the all-time career assists list at Georgia as a sophomore.
 
 
The Bulldogs and Tigers played a tight opening stanza, featuring six ties and three lead changes. Georgia jumped to a 3-0 lead before Mizzou (14-9, 7-3) rallied to go ahead 4-3. The Bulldogs stayed in front until the Tigers tied the score at 14, and Mizzou recorded four-straight to go up 18-14. Georgia trailed the remainder of the set, despite being able to pull within one point, but the Tigers prevailed in the set, 25-21.
 
 
Georgia (15-6, 5-6) controlled the second set from the start, never allowing the Tigers to tie or take a lead in the frame. A 5-1 run early put the Bulldogs out in front, 10-4. An ace from junior Majesti Bass gave Georgia set point, followed by a kill from Donovan that secured the set victory, 15-17.
 
 
Freshman outside hitter T’ara Ceasar, who had 11 kills on the match, laid down six kills in the second set while Ritchie added four to her team-leading final total of 14. As a team, Georgia hit .385 in the second set.
 
 
In the third set, a service ace from senior Cassidy Anderson, who had two on the match, and a kill from Ritchie provided Georgia the early 2-0 lead. The Tigers responded with five consecutive points for the 6-3 advantage, which they carried through the set, finalizing the third frame with 25-16. Mizzou capped the match with a similar 25-16 final set.
 
 
Ceasar and Ritchie each topped the double-digit kill mark in the frame, with their 19th and 18th double-digit kill games of the season, respectively.
