Walker’s Three Touchdowns leads Georgia past Charlotte 35-3

No. 4 Georgia defeats Charlotte 35-3 in Sanford Stadium, marking Georgia’s 48th straight win against an unranked opponent. 

Nate Frazier found the end zone twice for the Bulldogs in the first quarter, giving Georgia an early 14-0 lead. 

 

 

 

 

Freshman running back Bo Walker scored his first-career touchdown with 11:29 remaining in the second quarter to extend the Bulldogs’ lead to 21-0. Walker finished the game with three touchdowns and a career-high 48 rushing yards.

Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton exited the game in the third quarter, tallying 196 passing yards and an interception. Ryan Puglisi and Ryan Montgomery both saw the field under center. 

Charlotte gained just 169 yards on offense and scored under ten points for the fourth time this season. 

 

 

 

 

Freshman safety Daniel Okonkwo caught his first-career interception from Charlotte quarterback Grayson Loftis late in the fourth quarter. Ellis Robinson IV also recorded an interception in the second quarter.

Georgia: Smart and the Bulldogs were able to rest up and get many different players on the field before their key matchup with No. 16 Georgia Tech on Nov. 28. 

Charlotte: The 49ers drop to 1-10 on the year, with their lone win coming against Monmouth on Sept. 13.
