Gabby Connally, who is entering her junior season on the Georgia Lady Bulldogs basketball team, was voted second-team All-Southeastern Conference in the preseason coaches poll.
The San Antonio native is Georgia’s leading returning scorer after she averaged 12.4 points per game during the 2018-19 campaign. She has started 30-straight contests for the Lady Bulldogs and has played in all 63 matchups over the last two years.
Connally finished her sophomore season on a high note, scoring in double figures in four consecutive games heading into postseason play. She also led Georgia in 3-point field goals made (53) and was fourth in the SEC in minutes played (35.0 per game).
The criminal justice major is one of 16 student-athletes on this year’s preseason All-SEC squad. Texas A&M’s Chennedy Carter was named the preseason Player of the Year, while the Aggies were picked to win the league.
