» Georgia hosts the Florida Gators for Senior Day on Sunday at Stegeman Coliseum. Tipoff is slated for 1:10 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.  

» The Lady Bulldogs will honor seniors Stephanie Paul and Ari Henderson during a pre-game ceremony.

» Georgia lost a shootout against Kentucky this past Thursday, 88-77. The Wildcats hit 12 3-pointers, including 10 in the first half, to defeat the Lady Bulldogs. It handed Georgia just its second loss in the last five games.

» Last Sunday, Georgia defeated LSU,73-56. The Lady Bulldogs won in Baton Rouge for just the second time since the 2001-02 season. The 73 points are the most LSU has given up against a league opponent this year.  

» Nine of Georgia’s 13 losses have come against top-25 opponents. The Lady Bulldogs have played five games against the top 10 teams in the country, including matchups against No. 1 South Carolina and No. 2 Baylor. 

» Redshirt-junior center Jenna Staiti has been the leader for Georgia during this current stretch of the season. The Cumming, Ga., native has scored in double figures in each of the last six games and in seven of the last eight contests. She is averaging 20.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game over the last six matchups. 

» Following Sunday’s contest, Georgia prepares for the SEC tournament, which will be held in Greenville, S.C., March 4-8. With a win (and an Alabama loss to Missouri), the Lady Bulldogs could earn as high as a No. 8 seed. With a loss to Florida, Georgia could fall as low as the 11th seed.

GEORGIA PLAYING WELL LATE IN THE SEASON

» With the month of March right around the corner, the Lady Bulldogs have played arguably their best basketball of the season. Georgia has won three of its last five games, including an impressive 73-56 win against an LSU team that boasts a 19-8 record and an RPI of No. 32 nationally. Jenna Staiti is Georgia’s leading scorer over the last six games, averaging 20.3 points per contest. 

ROAD SUCCESS

» Georgia has four SEC road wins and a pair of neutral-site victories against non-conference foes Virginia Tech and Butler. The Lady Bulldogs’ success in those four league victories can be credited to an impressive defensive performance. Georgia held each of those opponents below 60 points, including a season-low 55-point effort from Arkansas. Those teams averaged just 51 points per game in losses to the Lady Bulldogs. 

MORRISON HAS SUCCESSFUL SURGERY

» Junior guard Que Morrison had successful surgery on Tuesday, Feb. 25 to repair a torn labrum in her right shoulder. Before her season-ending injury against Texas A&M, Morrison was finally back to her freshman form when she was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2017-18. Before her injury, Morrison had scored in double figures in three of the last five games, including 18-point efforts against Mississippi State and Alabama, which marked her highest point total against SEC foes in her career. 

STAITI’S IMPROVEMENT INCLUDES FREE-THROW NUMBERS

» Jenna Staiti’s success at the free-throw line marks a big improvement for the Lady Bulldog center. After shooting 61.4 percent from the line last season, Staiti has improved on that total by 26-percent, knocking in 57-of-65 (87.7) free-throw shots this season. 

CONNALLY CONTINUES TO LEAD

» Preseason All-SEC selection Gabby Connally continues to be the leader for the Lady Bulldogs. Connally paces the squad with 12.6 points per game and has led Georgia in scoring a team-high 12 times. Connally left the Mississippi State game early due to injury and then missed the Missouri contest after receiving six stitches above her eye.
