» Georgia returns to Stegeman Coliseum Wednesday evening for a 7 p.m. tip against North Carolina A&T. 

» The contest will air live on SEC Network +, with Kaleb Frady and Mark Slonaker on the call. Fans can also listen to the Voice of the Lady Bulldogs, Jeff Dantzler, who has called Georgia women’s basketball games since 1993.

» Georgia and North Carolina A&T meet for the first time since the 2017-18 season, when the Lady Bulldogs won, 73-63, in Greensboro, N.C. 

» Preseason All-SEC selection Gabby Connally led Georgia in its first game of the season against Kennesaw State. Connally scored 28 points to go along with a career-high nine assists in the 80-65 victory. 

» Maya Caldwell and Jenna Staiti added 18 and 16 points, respectively, against the Owls. Staiti had 11 boards to record just the second double-double of her career. 

» In addition, Staiti drew the first start of her career in this year’s season opener. It also marked the 31st-straight start for Connally. 

» The Lady Bulldogs knocked down 10 3-pointers against Kennesaw State. It marks the team’s best performance from behind the arc in two seasons. The Lady Bulldogs last hit 10 or more 3-pointers when they made 12 in a game against then-No. 16 Texas A&M in 2018. 

» North Carolina A&T is 1-1 this season, with an 80-44 loss to North Carolina State and a 121-61 win against Johnson and Wales. 

» Georgia has 981 all-time wins. The Lady Bulldogs are looking to become just the 14th program in women’s basketball NCAA Division I to record 1,000 victories.

Career Day for Connally

» Gabby Connally’s junior season is off to a strong start following her performance against Kennesaw State on Thursday. It marked the sixth 20-point game of Connally’s career and her second-highest single-game point total since scoring 37 against Texas A&M in 2018.

Double-Double for Staiti

» Georgia junior forward Jenna Staiti tallied just the second double-double of her career with 16 points and 11 rebounds against Kennesaw State. The Cumming, Ga., native hit 7-of-12 shots from the field in 35 minutes of action, marking the most minutes she has played in a single game in her career. 

Caldwell Clutch at the Buzzer 

» Maya Caldwell was one of three Lady Bulldogs to score in double figures against Kennesaw State as she finished with 18 points off a 7-of-9 shooting effort. With time winding down in the third quarter, Caldwell heaved a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Georgia a 14-point advantage. The shot was nothing new for Caldwell, who knocked in a buzzer beater shot for the third time in her career.  

Pair of Two-Sport Stars

»  Georgia’s roster this season features a pair of two-sport athletes — the Lady Bulldogs’ first since Maria Taylor played both basketball and volleyball. Incoming freshman Chloe Chapman plays soccer and basketball, while senior Stephanie Paul will compete on the track team, with her specialty being the discus.
