About Play4Kay and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund
Since its inception in 2007, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund has awarded $7.78 million to support scientific research and programs that serve the underserved in the fight against ALL cancers affecting women. Play4Kay is the largest fundraising initiative of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Olympic gold medal-winning and Naismith Hall of Fame coach, Kay Yow, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and passed away on January 24, 2009. Coach Yow did not lose her battle to cancer. She simply turned the battle over to all of us.

» Sunday is Georgia’s Play4Kay game, with fans encouraged to wear pink. The Lady Bulldogs will wear pink jerseys to honor all those who have been affected by cancer.
» Georgia has won three of the last four meetings against Alabama, but lost last year’s matchup in Athens, 58-53. The Lady Bulldogs lead the all-time series 40-12, including an 18-4 advantage at Stegeman.
» Redshirt-junior center Jenna Staiti is in the best stretch of her career. After scoring a career-high 24 points against Missouri, Staiti totaled 19 points and a career-best 15 rebounds in the win at Florida. The Cumming, Ga., native has hauled in nine or more boards in each of the last three games.
» The Lady Bulldogs welcomed the return of preseason All-SEC performer and leading scorer Gabby Connally during Sunday’s win at Florida. Connally missed the Missouri game due to an injury she sustained in the first half against Mississippi State.
» Georgia has played a difficult schedule this season, with seven of 11 losses coming to top-25 teams. The Lady Bulldogs have played five games against the top seven teams in country, including matchups against both No. 1-ranked squads South Carolina and Baylor.
