The Georgia Lady Bulldogs dropped their fifth game in a row, losing to Ole Miss 69-62 on the road in The Pavilion in Oxford on Sunday.
 
 
The Lady Bulldogs (10-11, 2-6) led at halftime, 34-26, but the Rebels’ comeback in the second half proved to be too much. Georgia cut it to four points on a pair of free throws by junior guard Haley Clark with a minute and a half remaining but it was the closest Georgia got. Ole Miss (14-8, 3-6) outscored Georgia 25-7 in the third, creating a deficit the Lady Bulldogs were unable to erase in the final quarter.
 
 
Heading the Georgia attack was junior Mackenzie Engram and senior Pachis Roberts with 19 and 17 points, respectively. The double-digit performances were Roberts’ ninth straight and her 17th of the season while it was Engram’s third consecutive and 12th of the season.
 
 
The Lady Bulldogs started hot as they built an early 9-2 lead then expanded it to 15-5 after Engram and Roberts drained back-to-back 3-pointers. At the half, Georgia held the advantage at 34-26. Engram and Roberts breached double-digit scoring in the first two-quarters by dropping 11 and 10 points, respectively.
 
 
The third quarter belonged to the Rebels as they tallied a dozen unanswered points to open the second half and held a 38-34 lead by the midway point. Ole Miss sank five 3-pointers in the quarter and entered the fourth quarter with a 51-41 lead.
 
 
Georgia rallied off a 6-0 run starting at the 3:06 mark of the fourth quarter to make it a 59-55 Ole Miss lead but the Rebels strengthened their advantage back out to secure the win.
 
 
The Lady Bulldogs continue their road slate against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Thursday in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. ET and will be aired on SEC Network Plus.
