Georgia Head Coach Joni Taylor On the tough loss and her overall thoughts on the game… “Well, I thought we played how we practiced the past two days. I did not think we were very sharp. I did not think we were very focused and it showed up. In this league, it is going to tell on you if you are not prepared and you are not ready to go, and we weren’t tonight.” 

On getting the team focused in practice moving forward… “Well, hopefully they have learned from this. We have a really tough challenge ahead. We are going to watch this game, number one, and look at it, talk about it. Then, we have to get ready for a really tough Tennessee team on their home floor on Sunday. I keep telling our ladies that saying we are a young team is not an excuse. We have shown what we are capable of and we have to do that every single day we come out to play.” 

On the upcoming game at Tennessee… “Number one is just making sure we know their personnel. We watch film and make sure we are locked into the game plan. They have to decide what they want this season to be and that is the biggest thing. We can give it to them, but they have to decide that they want to take some ownership and some leadership and show up every single day and be accountable.”
