Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball seniors Que Morrison and Jenna Staiti earned honorable mention honors on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America Team, the organization announced Saturday.
The pair of college graduates led the Lady Bulldogs to a 21-7 overall record, a Southeastern Conference tournament championship game appearance and a trip to the NCAA tournament as a No. 3 seed.
Morrison was named the 2021 SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, becoming just the second Georgia player to earn that award (Sherill Baker, 2006). The Riverdale, Ga., native led the SEC with 33 steals during conference play. She finished the regular season with a career-best 11-straight double-figure scoring games.
Staiti earned second-team All-SEC honors following a successful senior season. The SEC’s blocked shots leader scored in double figures in 32 of her last 37 games over the last two years. She was Georgia’s leading scorer and rebounder and finished with a conference-best 85 blocks this season.
