The No. 25-ranked Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team has earned the No. 6 seed in the 2022 Southeastern Conference Basketball Tournament and will begin play Thursday evening in Nashville, Tenn.
Georgia will go against the winner of the Alabama versus Auburn contest on Thursday at approximately 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET inside Bridgestone Arena. No. 3 seed Tennessee awaits in the quarterfinals.
The Lady Bulldogs have appeared in all 42 SEC tournaments and have compiled a 51-38 record. This is just the fourth time in program history the team has earned the No. 6 seed, with the last being in 2016. Georgia advanced to the 1988 semifinals round as the No. 6 seed.
Last year, the Lady Bulldogs downed Kentucky and then-No. 2-ranked Texas A&M to advance to the SEC tournament finals for the first time since 2004.
