ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia’s Jillian Hollis was named first-team All-SEC in balloting of league coaches released by the league office on Thursday.

This is the third consecutive year Hollis has earned All-SEC honors. She was a second-team selection in both 2016 and 2017.

Also on Thursday, Hollis came in at No. 7 on the latest watch list for the ANNIKA Award. She joined the list at No. 14 on March 22 and ascended to No. 12 on April 13 before climbing into the top 10 in the most recent edition.

Hollis, a junior from Rocky River, Ohio, is enjoying one of the most productive seasons in program history. She posted back-to-back individual wins earlier this season at the 3M Augusta Invitational and the PING/ASU Invitational, becoming the first Georgia golfer to post consecutive wins since 1999. Hollis has six top-10 finishes in seven tournaments played this season.

Statistically, Hollis enters next week’s NCAA Regional on pace to shatter the Georgia stroke average record. Her 70.79 mark is .73 per round better than the current school record of 71.52 established by Marta Silva Zamora en route to winning 2011 National Player of the Year honors. Hollis has posted 14 par-or-better scores in 19 rounds this season. She equaled the school record with a 7-under 65 in the final round of the PING/ASU Invitational.

Georgia will compete in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional next Monday-Wednesday at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course and Club. The Bulldogs are the No. 9 seed and among 18 teams fighting for six spots in the field for the NCAA Championships, which will be contested on May 18-23 in Stillwater, Okla.
