[su_spacer size=”40″] Freshman Rinko Mitsunaga is tied for sixth place individually after leading Georgia with an even-par 71. In addition, Manuela Carbajo Ré and Jillian Hollis are tied for 15th after signing for 73s, Harang Lee is tied for 25th at 74 and Isabella Skinner is tied for 56th after shooting 76.
[su_spacer size=”40″] “It got windy today, and that why the scores were a little higher than I would’ve thought,” head coach Josh Brewer said. “I thought we showed a little bit of rust after not competing for two weeks, but I expect us to get sharper over the next two days.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] The Bulldogs teed off from No. 10 and played the back of the Stanford Golf Course first on Sunday. Mitsunaga turned at even par after recording seven pars, a birdie at No. 12 and a bogey at No. 17. She bogeyed No. 4 but moved into red numbers with birdies at No. 6 and No. 8 before wrapping up her loop with a bogey.
[su_spacer size=”40″] “It was just a really solid day for Rinko,” Brewer said. “Every time I saw her, it seemed like she was making good swings and giving herself chances to make birdies. Really, it was a good, steady day for everyone. You would like to be steady and under par, but conditions today dictated that steady was 1- or 2-over. Hopefully, we play a little better tomorrow and move up the leaderboard.” [su_spacer size=”40″]
