WOMEN’S GOLF: UGA Ranked No. 4 by Golfweek

The Georgia women’s golf team ascended to No. 4 and No. 6 in this week’s editions of the Golfweek and Golfstat national rankings, respectively, while Bulldog golfers also improved in the national polls.
 
 
Georgia is the only team two golfers in the top-10 of both versions of the individual rankings.
 
 
Junior Harang Lee is now No. 2 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. In addition, freshman Bailey Tardy is No. 6, freshman Jillian Hollis is No. 26, senior Manuela Carbajo Ré is No. 88 and freshman Rinko Mitsunaga is No. 100.
 
 
In the Golfstat individual rankings, Tardy is No. 3, Lee is No. 9, Hollis is No. 51, Mitsunaga is No. 97 and Carbajo Ré is No. 104.
 
 
Georgia will return to action next weekend when the Bulldogs compete in the SEC Championships at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Ala. Four league schools are currently consensus top-10 teams. In the Golfstat rankings, Alabama is No. 1, the Bulldogs are No. 6, Florida is No. 7 and Arkansas is No. 8. According to Golfweek, Alabama is No. 3, UGA is No. 4, Florida is No. 8 and Arkansas is No. 10.
