This time around the Bulldogs (12-4, 5-1) will be looking to avoid handing the Lady Vols (8-10, 0-6) their first SEC victory of the season. Tennessee has fallen in all six of its league matches thus far, most recently losing 4-3 to Kentucky at home.

Georgia, on the other hand, has won three-straight conference matches after falling to No. 9 Alabama at the beginning of March. In their last match, the Bulldogs beat No. 11 Vanderbilt 5-2 to move up to second place in the SEC standings.

Bulldog senior Lauren Herring remains Georgia’s highest ranked singles player at No. 11, while a trio of freshmen (No. 55 Hannah King, No. 56 Ellen Perez, and No. 58 Kennedy Shaffer) follow her lead. In doubles, Herring and Perez are No. 16 in the nation while Shaffer and junior Silvia Garcia are No. 20.

Tennessee has no players ranked in singles but does boast the nation’s No. 33 ranked doubles team in Joanna Henderson and Caitlyn Williams. Together the pair is 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in SEC play. Henderson, a senior, is also the reigning SEC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.
