The UGA women’s team duo of Elena Christofi and Morgan Coppoc will play for the consolation title of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships after winning a pair of matches Saturday.

The Bulldog tandem, ranked 34th nationally, began the day with an 8-6 win over the sixth-ranked team of Arianne Hartono and Alexa Bortles (Ole Miss). Then, they edged the 15th-ranked duo of Vladica Babic and Sofia Blanco (Oklahoma State) 8-7(4). The Christofi-Coppoc duo now has a 7-3 record this fall.

In the final, the Bulldog pair will face the fourth-ranked team of Jada Hart and Ena Shibahara (UCLA). The road to the consolation final for the Bulldogs began Friday with an 8-1 win over the 14th-ranked Michigan State duo of Emily Metcalf and Davina Nguyen.

The Bulldogs have bounced back following a narrow 8-6 loss to the Vanderbilt team of Kurtz/Rosca in the main draw this past Thursday.
