The Georgia duo of Elena Christofi and Morgan Coppoc advanced to the quarterfinals of the consolation draw at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships Friday.

 
The Bulldog tandem, ranked 34th nationally, dispatched the 14th-ranked Michigan State duo of Emily Metcalf and Davina Nguyen 8-1.
 
 
Up next, the Bulldog pair will face sixth-ranked Arianne Hartono and Alexa Bortles of Ole Miss on Saturday. Georgia’s duo owns a 5-3 record this fall. There will be two rounds of doubles with the final set for Sunday.
 
 
Meanwhile, in singles consolation action, seventh-ranked Melissa Lord (Stanford) defeated the 10th-ranked Christofi 6-3,6-4.
