Georgia women’s tennis junior Meg Kowalski, who earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America Status with a trip to the NCAA Singles Round of 16, fell to No.3-ranked Emma Navarro of Virginia on Tuesday at the USTA National Campus.

“Although today didn’t go the way I had hoped for it to, it was such an amazing experience to be able to compete with the best in the nation,” said Kowalski. “I am so grateful for all the support from my coaches, teammates, support staff, and Dawg Nation. I wouldn’t be anywhere close to as successful as I have in my UGA career without the unconditional love from everyone. I am already looking forward to competing with my Dawgs next season and getting our new freshmen on campus.”

Kowalski ended the year with a 25-4 singles mark, she was named first-team All-Southeastern Conference and helped the Bulldogs win the SEC regular season and tournament titles. She also earned a spot on the SEC Community Service Team for the third-straight season.
