Senior Morgan Coppoc has been named Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s National Player of the Week announced on Wednesday afternoon.

This is the first time a Bulldog has been given the weekly honor by the ITA.

The Tulsa, Okla. native was instrumental in the dominating run the No. 3 Bulldogs had in the SEC Tournament. She went undefeated in both doubles and singles and was the only Bulldog to go 3-0 in singles during the course of the tournament. Her 6-2, 6-2 win over Texas A&M’s Dorthea Faa-Hviding in the SEC Championship match was the clinching win earning the Bulldogs the title.

Coppoc’s dominance was rewarded with being named to the SEC All-Tournament team, as well as being named SEC All-Tournament MVP.

Overall, she sits at 23-5 throughout the course of the season and is 9-0 in conference action. In doubles, Her and partner Elena Christofi are 18-3 overall and are 6-2 in SEC play. She currently boasts an ITA singles record of No. 57.
