Happy New Year from Bulldawg Illustrated to you and yours! We all hope you had a wonderful 2019 and that this coming year in 2020 will be even better. And hopefully, the Bulldogs will help us get it started off on the right foot with a Sugar Bowl victory over Baylor!

Tomorrow, on Thursday, January 2nd, five-star running back Zachary Evans is planning on announcing his decision during the Under Armour All-America Game down in Orlando, FL. He has already privately signed his Letter of Intent during the Early Signing Period but wanted to wait to make his announcement during the all-star high school football game, like 2020 athlete and tight end prospect Darnell Washington.

We took a look not to long ago back on December 22 at Evans’ recruitment, click here if you happened to miss it, and it looks like Georgia is favored to land the 5-foot-11 and 200 lbs senior running back out of North Shore High School in Houston, TX. That trend hasn’t changed in the last 10 days.

247Sports rates Evans a 5-star prospect, the No. 1 RB, No. 1 player from the state of Texas, and the No. 14 recruit nationally overall for 2020. Rivals also rates Evans a 5-star prospect, but have him just a wee bit lower in the rankings at the running back position at No. 4. Rivals list Evans as the No. 1 player from the state of Texas and the No. 29 recruit nationally overall.

If Evans does announce he committed to and signed with the University of Georgia, he will join Buchanan High School, Clovis, CA 2020 signee Kendall Milton in the backfield for the Bulldogs as an early enrollee in January. The Bulldogs would have the No. 1 and No. 6 running backs from the 2020 recruiting class on their roster according to 247Sports or going by the Rivals rankings, No. 3 and No. 4.
