• Georgia rolled out the same lineup (Cain, Demary Jr., Lawrence, Godfrey and Newell) that has started every for Mike White this season.

• Savo Drezgic made his Southeastern conference debut in the first half of play bringing Georgia’s conference participant total to 11 players.

• Cain recorded his 20th career and ninth on the season double-figure scoring performance

• Newell led Georgia in rebounds with six, his seventh time leading the team in the category this season. More, it’s the freshman’s 12th game with five or more boards.

• The Bulldogs are fixed in the middle of a six-game stretch in which the team plays four top-10 teams – No. 6/6 Tennessee, No. 1/1 Auburn, No. 5/6 Florida and No. 4/3 Alabama next Saturday.

Key Quotes

“Florida did a really good job of running through passes, moving to the basketball and keeping pressure on the basketball,” said head coach Mike White about the performance. “At times we made the right reads and threw the right passes, but some of it was just accuracy and we threw a couple passes up in the stands. We just played rattled in the first 20 and that starts with me. We’ve got to figure out what we’re doing offensively because turnovers continue to kill us. I thought we were much better in the second half, and I understand we were down, and Florida had a sizable lead, but they continued to compete.”
