Georgia’s 2025 Football Schedule: Game-by-Game Breakdown and Score Predictions

The 2025 Georgia Bulldogs face a season filled with marquee matchups, tough road tests, and two neutral-site rivalry games. Kirby Smart’s roster is young in spots but deep and battle-tested. The path to another SEC Championship isn’t easy, but the Dawgs have the firepower—and the coaching—to get it done.

Here’s a breakdown of each scheduled game with opponent context and predicted scores. Since our crystal ball is down for annual maintenance, we might as well make Dawgcentric picks.

Saturday, August 30 – vs. Marshall (Athens) – 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Georgia opens the season against a solid but overmatched Marshall squad. The Thundering Herd bring discipline and experience but won’t hold up in the trenches. UGA will rotate players early and often as it tunes up for SEC play.

Prediction: Georgia 45, Marshall 10

Saturday, September 6 – vs. Austin Peay (Athens) – 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN+/SECN+)

This is a paycheck game for the Governors, plain and simple. Georgia’s second- and third-stringers should dominate after halftime. It’s a week to stay healthy, install wrinkles, and build depth before heading to Knoxville.

Prediction: Georgia 52, Austin Peay 6

Saturday, September 13 – at Tennessee (Knoxville) – 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+)

This is Georgia’s first big test. Neyland Stadium will be rocking, and Tennessee will be hunting for a second straight win over the Dawgs. Georgia’s defense will need to disrupt tempo and avoid early breakdowns. Expect a close, physical battle with UGA pulling away late thanks to better line play and clock control.

Prediction: Georgia 31, Tennessee 24

Saturday, September 20 – BYE WEEK

A well-placed break after Tennessee and ahead of the season’s first true heavyweight matchup.

Saturday, September 27 – vs. Alabama (Athens, GA) – 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+)

This is the one. Alabama comes to Athens for what could be the SEC game of the year. The Tide’s roster is loaded, but questions remain at quarterback and on the offensive line. Georgia’s edge will be in continuity and home-field advantage. A back-and-forth brawl ends with the Dawgs making a late statement.

Prediction: Georgia 28, Alabama 23

Saturday, October 4 – vs. Kentucky (Athens) – 12:00 p.m. ET (ABC or ESPN)

Kentucky is rugged and will try to ugly things up, but Georgia’s dominance on both lines will shine through. Look for Smart to simplify things and pound the run game before tightening the screws on defense.

Prediction: Georgia 30, Kentucky 13

Saturday, October 11 – at Auburn (Auburn) – (TV TBA)

The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry returns to Jordan-Hare, a place that’s always tricky—even when Auburn’s rebuilding. Hugh Freeze will have a few tricks dialed up, but Georgia’s defense will be too disciplined. This one stays close until UGA’s offensive line takes over late.

Prediction: Georgia 27, Auburn 17

Saturday, October 18 – vs. Ole Miss (Athens) – (TV TBA)

Lane Kiffin’s Rebels bring creativity and tempo, but Georgia’s defensive versatility and depth are built for this kind of game. Look for the Dawgs to pressure the quarterback early and stifle the run game. The Athens crowd won’t hurt, either.

Prediction: Georgia 34, Ole Miss 20

Saturday, October 25 – BYE WEEK

Perfect timing before the annual cocktail party and a long road-heavy November stretch.

Saturday, November 1 – vs. Florida (Jacksonville) – 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+)

The Gators are still rebuilding, and this neutral-site clash feels tilted heavily in Georgia’s favor once again. Florida’s quarterback room remains unsettled, and UGA’s pass rush should tee off. Expect Georgia to dominate the second half.

Prediction: Georgia 35, Florida 16

Saturday, November 8 – at Mississippi State (Starkville) – 12:00 p.m. ET (ABC or ESPN)

Cowbells are annoying. The Bulldogs of Starkville? Not so much. MSU will play tough, but Georgia’s sheer talent and superior discipline will stifle any upset hopes. Expect methodical execution from UGA.
Prediction: Georgia 31, Mississippi State 13

Saturday, November 15 – vs. Texas (Athens) – (TV TBA)

SEC newcomer or not, Texas is no stranger to big games. The Longhorns have explosive talent and playoff aspirations, but a November trip to Athens is no joke. Georgia will grind this out in a heavyweight chess match. If UGA controls the clock, it wins.
Prediction: Georgia 30, Texas 27

Saturday, November 22 – vs. Charlotte (Athens) – 12:45 p.m. ET (SECN)

A late-season breather. Charlotte will be thoroughly outclassed, and Georgia will use the game to polish depth and execution. Expect senior moments and maybe a few walk-on touchdowns.

Prediction: Georgia 52, Charlotte 7

Friday, November 28 – at Georgia Tech (Mercedes-Benz Stadium) – 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+)

Clean Old-Fashioned Hate shifts to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for 2025. Tech has made strides under Brent Key, but they still can’t match Georgia physically. This is all about staying healthy and handling business. The Dawgs close the regular season strong.

Prediction: Georgia 38, Georgia Tech 14

Saturday, December 6 – SEC Championship (Atlanta) – 4:00 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+)

Assuming Georgia finishes the regular season unbeaten or with one loss, expect a rematch with either Alabama or Texas. With a playoff spot likely on the line, Kirby Smart’s squad should be battle-tested and ready to finish.

Final Word

Georgia’s 2025 schedule is full of playoff-defining matchups. Trips to Tennessee, Auburn, and Mississippi State, plus home showdowns with Alabama and Texas, make for a rugged path. But this team has the experience, toughness, and depth to run the table—if it stays healthy.

Projected Regular Season Record: 12–0
