KEY QUOTES
Georgia Head Coach Tony Baldwin
Opening statement…
“Hats off and congrats to Florida. Today, they capitalized better than we did. They’ve had a great season. They have a great team. They’re well coached. It’s a great environment. This is what college softball’s all about. Every little girl should aspire, at some level, to be able to invest in something enough that gives you this range of emotion. I’m disappointed that it ended, but I’m super thankful that we went on this journey this season. Team 29 for us represents what college softball should be all about, and I’m very thankful for that.”

On this year’s senior class…
“I think this year was as good of leadership, and I hate comparing teams because that makes it sound like some sort of shortcoming in another team, what I can say with this team is that senior group really led our culture in our locker room. We’ve talked about this before, we’ve taken our share of punches and shots and all of the setbacks and we’ve shown up every week to start the new week with a fresh mindset that this week’s going to be our week and you don’t get that without great senior people in your room. We had some shortcomings this year, but the reason that we played for a chance to go to the World Series today was because of the people we have in a room, and I’ll go to bat with that any time.”
