Savannah’s Offense Report

— Coach Jim Chaney had the tight ends continue to work on blocking. He yelled at Charlie Woerner, “get your hands down Charlie.” The groups continued working on blocking, and then Chaney used Ford as an example saying, “that’s how you turn.” He referenced turning your hips to follow a block.
— Still no Andrew Thomas at practice, so it seems like Cade Mays will get the go-ahead. During a drill where the team worked on tailback isolation and combo blocks together. The line would block and form a hole for the running back to find and go through. This drill included a defense for the line to block against and see how Middle Tennessee State may lineup on Saturday.
— The line went as followed Isaiah Wilson (RT), Ben Cleveland (RG), Lamont Gaillard (C), Solomon Kindley (LG) and Cade Mays (LT)
— Behind them, the second rotation went like Justin Shaffer (RT), Netori Johnson (RG), Trey Hill (C), Jamaree Salyer (LG) and Kendall Baker (LT).
— Wide receiver coach, Cortez Hankton had his unit work on sideline catches and staying inbounds. He worked them through some route drills. Before the media left, they worked with the quarterbacks where Terry Godwin seemed 100 percent and back to normal.

— The running backs worked through agility, footwork, and ball control drill. All the backs worked with the offensive line too during the tailback Iso drill. From what Greg and I saw, it seems the Bulldogs are going to run the ball a lot on Saturday.
Steve’s Defense Report

— Kirby had a good quote today directed at freshman Adam Anderson. “I like that s**t right there!” Adam Anderson is always going 100%, and Kirby notices.
— Tyrique McGhee was on the bike in the AC today briefly, and Richard LeCounte turned to him and said, “All that AC blowing on you why don’t you come on out here and join us.”
— It looks like Divaad Wilson is comfortable on the knee he injured in the spring. Was cutting and sprinting and looks like he has made tremendous strides.
— Three NFL scouts in attendance who I saw watching the defense. Jets, Seahawks, and Steelers appeared to be focusing on Deandre Baker.
