Hammy’s Horseshoes: Auburn Week 2025

Alabama (-3)         @ Missouri | O/U 53

Saturday, Oct. 11, Noon

I want to pick Missouri at home in a dog fight with the Crimson Tide; however, this Alabama squad has found their groove. Ty Simpson is rolling, garnering “best QB in the country” accusations. The Bama defense is stout, and Kalen DeBoer is scheming up some nice gameplans. Hunker down with the Crimson Tide to cover -3 in CoMo.

NC State @ Notre Dame (-22.5) | O/U 62

Saturday, Oct. 11, 3:30PM

Notre Dame is fighting to keep their Playoff hopes alive. After an 0-2 start, it must be perfect from here on out for the Fighting Irish. In fact, with very little marquee matchups on the remaining schedule, Notre Dame must win in dominating fashion to sway the CFP voters. This week, there is no question, they will get a “statement win,” dominating the Wolfpack in South Bend. Hunker down with the Irish to cover the massive spread!

Oklahoma vs. Texas (-3) | O/U 42.5

Saturday, Oct. 11, 3:30PM

I wouldn’t be shocked if we saw anything in this game. There is very little to be expected. We have yet to see Texas click as the preseason No. 1 Longhorns are no longer ranked thanks to a second loss on the year in Gainesville. The offense looked abysmal while Arch Manning seems to be fraudulent. On the other hand, Oklahoma is without John Mateer, their Heisman hopeful quarterback. With two struggling offenses and two really good defenses, hunker down with the under! In a game when we don’t know what to expect, I’ve got a hunch for a 16-13 type of game.

Kansas @ Texas Tech (-14) | O/U 60.5

Saturday, Oct. 11, 7:30PM

Texas Tech has established themselves as the team to beat in the Big 12. Kansas is a threat to that hopeful title run. Jalon Daniels, the Jayhawks’ QB, is healthy and playing with a chip on his shoulder. While the Red Raiders defense is playing lights out, the Kansas offense is looking to hum against the No. 9 team in the country. Texas Tech’s offense is nothing to trifle with either. I’m thinking of fireworks in Lubbock! Hunker down with over 60.5 points in a Big 12 shootout!

‌Michigan        @ USC (-2.5) | O/U 57

Saturday, Oct. 11, 7:30PM

The Wolverines have shown plenty of promise this season for me to buy in. Amidst all the off the field drama, Michigan has found their future in QB Bryce Underwood. USC has been a team to watch as well, but after the heartwrenching loss to Illinois, I’m not on the Lincoln Riley’s Trojan wagon just yet. I am on the Michigan wagon. Hunker down with the Wolverines as they go to the Coliseum and cover the +2.5… don’t be surprised with a Michigan win.

South Carolina          @ LSU (-10.5) | O/U 43.5

Saturday, Oct. 11, 7:45PM

I’m feeling cocky! Both LSU and South Carolina are coming off bye weeks. LaNorris Sellers is feeling healthier while Garrett Nussmeier is too. This is a game that was circled before the season, but some untimely losses for the Gamecocks and Tigers has taken away the luster of this game in Death Valley. I think LSU’s rushing problems are too much of an eye sore to create a serious gap in this game. Hunker down with South Carolina to cover +10.5 in Baton Rouge!
