Hammy’s Horseshoe’s: Austin Peay Week

James Madison @ Louisville (-15)       | O/U 57

Friday, Sep. 5, 7PM

QB Miller Moss and the Cardinals looked strong in their 2025 debut. Now, they welcome one of the toughest G5 teams in the land to town. The Dukes are my pick to represent the G5 in the Playoff. Hunker down with JMU to cover in a tight ball game. Louisville still walks away with the win.

‌Ole Miss (-10.5)        @ Kentucky | O/U 52

Saturday, Sep. 6, 3:30PM

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin loves to run up that scoreboard, and he did so in week one against Georgia State, winning 63-7. Watch him do it again in Lexington this weekend. Kentucky upset the Rebels last season. The stain on the Ole Miss’ resume inevitably kept them out of the Playoff. Revenge game… Hunker down with the Rebs to cover in dominating fashion.

‌Kansas @ Missouri (-6)       | O/U 51

Saturday, Sep. 6, 3:30PM

What a QB battle this will be. Kansas QB Jalon Daniels is a Heisman sleeper while Beau Pribula was one of the hottest transfer targets of the offseason. They both looked dominant in week one as the Jayhawks and Tigers’ offenses were firing. Hunker down with the over as Pribula and Daniels light up the CoMo sky.

South Florida @ Florida (-17.5)        | O/U 54.5

Saturday, Sep. 6, 4:15PM

South Florida is 1-0 with one of the most impressive wins of the week one slate, dominating the G5 Playoff rep from last season, Boise State 34-7. The Bulls keep it closer than expected, but the Gators get a 10-point win in the Swamp. Hunker down with USF to cover, and Florida to win.

‌Michigan @ Oklahoma (-6)       | O/U 46.5

Saturday, Sep. 6, 7:30PM

With defensive mastermind Brent Venables at the helm for the Sooners and the Harbaugh mentality reigning true in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Oklahoma are two defensive powerhouses of recent. However, both programs have studs at QB in transfer John Mateer with the Sooners and freshmen Bryce Underwood with the Wolverines. Expect the defense to standout in the first half; however, a big second half from both QBs drives that scoreboard up. Hunker down with the over in Norman.

Georgia Southern @ USC (-28)       | O/U 64

Saturday, Sep. 6, 7:30PM

Georgia Southern head coach Clay Helton returns to LA with vengeance on his mind. The former head coach of the Trojans was fired from USC in week three of the 2021 season. I love my Statesboro Eagles. Hunker down with Georgia Southern to cover the massive spread in LA.
