[su_spacer size=”20″] An interesting question to be considered should the SEC end its ban on satellite camps is where would SEC teams hold their recruiting camps? Currently, camps must be within 50 miles of campus. If the rule did not exist, would Georgia want to spend a time and money recruiting Ohio, Pennsylvania or New Jersey?
[su_spacer size=”40″] The answer lies in the reasoning behind Big Ten schools coming South. Sutton’s Law is at work. If Michigan wants to send its coaches to a Georgia State camp, fine – Georgia can set up a camp with Kennesaw State to coincide with Michigan’s. How about if UGA held a series of camps to around the state to coincide with the UGA Day tour? Would Georgia’s coaches not be much more interested in the recruits attracted to the Augusta camp than any that might turn out in Akron?
