[break] [break] In a 54-51 upset win over the Aggies, Engram scored a game-high 16 points while grabbing seven rebounds in 22 minutes of playing time. Engram then accounted for the first 10 points of the Lady Bulldogs’ second matchup of the week against the Lady Vols, eventually notching 14 points in a 51-59 loss in Knoxville.
[break] [break] Engram entered the week averaging 7.3 points per game, but more than doubled that number last week by averaging 15.0 ppg to raise her season average to 8.0 ppg.
[break] [break] Engram is the 11th different Lady Bulldogs to earn SEC Freshman of the Week since the award’s inception with the 2005-06 season. Those players have secured a combined 22 Freshman of the Week honors.
[break] [break] The Lady Bulldogs, who moved up one spot to No. 21 in the Associated Press poll on Monday, will return to action on Sunday in Lexington, Kentucky, against No. 10 Kentucky, Georgia’s third straight top-10 opponent. The game will tip off at 1 p.m. and will be televised live on the SEC Network.
