1. Texas – The Longhorns are coming off of a bye week after defeating Tennessee 20-17. They return to action in one of college football’s biggest rivalries, taking on Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl. Texas looks to stay undefeated while continuing its strong start to SEC play.

 

 

 

 

2. Georgia – The Dawgs continued their dominant start to the season, defeating Vanderbilt 38-14 on Homecoming to improve to 5-0. Gunner Stockton had another impressive performance, completing 25-of-32 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns, while Georgia’s offense finished with 471 total yards. Now Georgia faces its biggest test of the season, traveling to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama in a massive SEC showdown.

3. Miami – The Hurricanes made one of the biggest statements of the weekend, dominating Clemson 41-13 in Death Valley to remain undefeated. Darian Mensah continued his impressive season, throwing for 227 yards and a touchdown while adding a 34-yard rushing touchdown. The Hurricanes are now 5-0 and 3-0 in ACC play and have established themselves as one of the top teams in the country. Miami has a bye this week before returning to action against Florida State.

4. Ohio State – The Buckeyes made a major statement in their first Big 10 road game of the season, defeating Iowa 31-14 in Iowa City. Julian Sayin threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns, while Jeremiah Smith continued his incredible season with 11 catches for 206 yards and two touchdowns. The Buckeyes improved to 4-1 and 2-0 in Big Ten play and now return home to host Maryland.

 

 

 

 

5. Notre Dame – The Fighting Irish remained undefeated with a 37-26 road victory over North Carolina. CJ Carr continued his impressive season, throwing for 234 yards and four touchdowns while also adding a rushing touchdown. The Irish improved to 5-0 and will return home to host Stanford at Notre Dame Stadium.

6. Alabama – The Crimson Tide made a statement in dominating Mississippi State 56-23 in Starkville. Keelon Russell continued his outstanding start to the season, throwing for 285 yards and three touchdowns while adding a rushing score. The Crimson Tide improved to 5-0 and 3-0 in SEC play. Alabama now faces its biggest test of the season with Georgia coming to Tuscaloosa for a massive SEC showdown.

7. Indiana – The Hoosiers continued their impressive start to the season with a dominant 47-15 road victory over Rutgers, improving to 5-0 and 2-0 in Big Ten play. Indiana piled up 593 total yards, including 329 on the ground. Josh Hoover threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns, while Turbo Richard rushed for 204 yards and a touchdown. The Hoosiers have now won 21 straight games and will face another important Big Ten test Saturday when they travel to Lincoln to take on Nebraska. With Ohio State coming to Bloomington the following week, Indiana will look to stay undefeated and maintain its momentum.

8. Texas Tech – The Red Raiders continued their undefeated start with a 29-7 road victory over Colorado, improving to 5-0 and 2-0 in Big 12 play. Will Hammond threw for 134 yards and a touchdown, while J’Koby Williams rushed for 88 yards and Quinten Joyner added a 30-yard touchdown run. The Red Raiders now have a bye before returning home to host Arizona State in a major Big 12 matchup.

9. Ole Miss – The Rebels are coming off of a bye week after falling at Florida 52-28 in Gainesville. Deuce Alexander still had a strong performance with seven catches for 134 yards, but Ole Miss could not overcome Florida’s offensive production. The Rebels return to action on the road against Vanderbilt. Ole Miss enters the matchup at 3-1 and looks to bounce back before facing Missouri and Texas in consecutive weeks.

10. LSU – The Tigers dominated McNeese 63-14 in Tiger Stadium to improve to 4-1. LSU piled up 731 total yards, including 35 points in the first half. Sam Leavitt completed 18-of-23 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns, while Harlem Berry rushed for a career-high 125 yards and a touchdown. LSU returns to SEC play Saturday with a road matchup against Kentucky in Lexington. The Wildcats will provide a much tougher test as LSU looks to build on its impressive performance and improve to 2-1 in conference play.

11. Oregon – The Ducks are coming off a bye week defeating USC 41-27 on the road in its Big 10 opener. After quarterback Dante Moore left the game with an injury, Dylan Raiola stepped in and threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns, helping Oregon finish with 504 total yards. Oregon improved to 3-1 and will return from its bye week to host UCLA at Autzen Stadium. The Bruins enter the matchup undefeated at 4-0, making this another important early-season Big Ten test for the Ducks.

12. BYU – The Cougars stayed undefeated with a gritty 17-10 road victory over TCU in rainy conditions. Bear Bachmeier carried the offense on the ground, rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns, including a 21-yard score late in the fourth quarter. Now 4-0 and 2-0 in Big 12 play, BYU returns home to host Iowa State. This game will be another important conference test before the Cougars host Notre Dame the following week.
