What life lessons did you learn while at UGA? There are a variety of opinions, beliefs and types of people. Give them all the proper respect they deserve.
What professor did you most admire? Dr. William Shenkel. His teaching books on modern real estate appraising helped prepare me for the real estate career I have been enjoying for 53 years and counting.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? On a personal level, Gayle and I creating a loving environment to raise our daughters. On a professional level, writing a book: “Notes from My Father’s Bible”. The feedback tells me this book has had deep and meaningful impacts on many readers from all over the country. Which historical figure do you most identify with? I know of a lot of historical figures but not much about what they were really like. I don’t know how historical he is or was, but Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers). He had a way of connecting with children and adults.
Who are your heroes in real life? Gayle Brown, a terrific wife, mother and grandmother. My biggest supporter, too. And my brother, Tom Brown, who has such a kind and loving heart.

What is your idea of perfect happiness? Being with family and enjoying their happiness, health and peaceful lives.

What do you most value in your friends? Truth and loyalty.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wish I could read music.
Who are your favorite writers? Malcolm Gladwell- his research and unique insights are incredible. Joel Rosenberg – his understanding of both current events and Biblical prophecy are woven into many of his books. Eric Metaxsas – his spiritual insights are spot on.
Fave social media and who to follow? I’m very old school. I’m not on social media.
