Georgia’s placekicker, Rodrigo Blankenship, took to social media last night to give his take on comments made by his father to several media outlets. Blankenship’s parents called the fact that his son is not on scholarship “an injustice” in a recent email published by the AJC. However, in his “open letter” Rodrigo apologizes for his father’s comments:
I would also like to apologize for my father’s interactions with the media this season. He acted without my knowledge each time, and each incident was uncalled for.
An open letter to #DawgNation, and to anybody else who has felt affected by recent events and news. #GoDawgs #StriveForGreatness pic.twitter.com/VRPiRVNkAp
