UGA MBB: Tyree Crump Georgia vs. Auburn Interview – Tuesday, February 18, 2020

UGA men’s basketball Tyree Crump (4)

UGA men’s basketball senior Tyree Crump talks about what the Bulldogs need to do to get out of their current four-game losing streak along with the team’s struggles in the second half, losing double-digit leads.

Tyree Crump on the team’s recent struggles and losses…

“It’s very frustrating because I think we’ve got a pretty good team. It’s heartbreaking.”

“The guys haven’t given up. The locker room is still the same. There’s still smiles, it’s just that we’re losing, and in a slump right now. But like Coach (Tom) Crean says, it only takes one game to get us out.”

Crump on losing leads in the second half of games…

“When we have a lead, we just let up. Basketball is all about two halves. You have to play both 20 minutes and sometimes we just let up off the gas and teams make a run and grab momentum.”

Crump signed with the Bulldogs as part of Georgia’s 2015 basketball recruiting class out of Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, GA. The 6-foot-1 and 185 lbs point guard has played in 117 games for the Hoop Dogs, starting in 21… 14 of those starts coming this 2019-20 season.
