EQUESTRIAN: Georgia vs. South Carolina Today

[su_spacer size=”20″] No. 2 Georgia equestrian is set to take on the No. 8 South Carolina Gamecocks on Friday, Nov. 20 at home in Bishop, Ga. The Bulldogs enter the competition with a 4-1 record, including a 1-1 mark in the Southeastern Conference. South Carolina is currently 2-4 and 0-2 in SEC play.
[su_spacer size=”40″] “What a wonderful opportunity to turn around in a week and host an SEC rival,” head coach Meghan Boenig said. “There were a few things we needed to tie up from our meet against Auburn and now put into place against South Carolina. Everyone is excited for a great competition and for a strong finish to our fall schedule.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] The rivalry runs deep for the Bulldogs and Gamecocks. The overall regular-season record is 17-7 in favor of the Bulldogs.
[su_spacer size=”40″] During the 2014-15 regular-season Georgia and South Carolina split a pair a meets. Georgia first beat South Carolina on the road 11-9, before the Gamecocks came to Bishop and defeated the Bulldogs with the same score. Georgia and South Carolina did not face each other in the SEC Championship. Georgia later fell to South Carolina 10-6 finishing the season second in the nation.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The previous season Georgia fell to South Carolina in the SEC Championship before going on to beat them for the National title.
