A year ago, Kirby Smart led the 93K day campaign to fill Sandford Stadium up for G-day. The first year head coach accomplished his goal and then some as the stadium packed full of fans and watched from standing-only areas. Some fans didn’t get into the stadium because it was at max compacity.

Former, current and future players are pushing the fan base to come to Athens on April 22. Players like Brian Herrien, Jeremiah Holloman, Deangelo Gibbs, Isaiah Wilson have all challenged the fans.

In a recent press conference, Smart voiced why filling those stands up is so important.

“It’s huge. I mean, you can’t imagine the effect that had on recruiting,” Smart said. When you talk to the kids we just signed, they all tell you that it had a great effect. So, our fan base should feel challenged. They should want to go out and have more than all these other teams have because it does help in recruiting. It shows the passion and the energy that I know our fan base has. So that really is important.

So now it’s up to you Bulldog fans, the players are pushing for 93,000 in Sanford Stadium. Will you be there? Which will you choose, Red or Black? Kickoff is at 2 p.m. but get there early to secure a seat.
