Zamir White

LEWIS CINE (S #16) – Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean stole the show in Saturday night’s win over Clemson. Lewis Cine actually happened to be Georgia’s leading tackler that night though. Cine led the Bulldogs with nine tackles and two pass breakups in a stifling defensive effort. He’s a hard-hitting safety that will put all UAB offensive players on notice next weekend. The Cedar Hill, Texas native has established himself as one of the better safeties in the SEC and is a guy that should help Georgia get takeaways through interceptions and forced fumbles this season.

ZAMIR WHITE (RB #3) – Zamir White heads into his senior season as a fan favorite in Athens. After every big run, the stadium echoes with “ZEUS” chants. He led Georgia in rushing against Clemson with 74 yards on 13 carries, the longest of them being a 22-yard rush. White helped clinch the game with a powerful run where he trucked multiple defenders and nearly scored. Dawg fans will look for more of that in the coming weeks. Georgia will use running backs by committee, but White seems to have established himself as the primary rusher, especially in traditional run formations.

JAMAREE SALYER (OL #69) – Jamaree Salyer might be Georgia’s best offensive lineman. He’s also versatile enough to play multiple different positions at 6-foot-4, 325 pounds. He started against Clemson at left tackle and held up well against one of the best defensive lines in the country. With that test under his belt early, Salyer should be able to bully some of his opponents in the coming weeks. The advantage with Salyer is that he can play guard and even center if push comes to shove as he did early in fall camp with Warren Ericson’s hand injury.

ADAM ANDERSON (OLB #19) – In a preseason virtual press conference Adam Anderson told reporters that he wanted to get 20 sacks on the season. Some thought that was a high goal, considering that mark would easily surpass the single season sack mark for a Georgia Bulldog. However, Anderson has all the traits that a coach wants in a pass rusher. The former five-star recruit from Rome, Georgia is as fast and physical as anyone coming off of the edge and could rack up multiple sacks against the UAB offensive line next week. He was one of the six Georgia players that recorded a sack in the win over Clemson and totaled five tackles in the game.
