Who are the Georgia Bulldogs to watch as UGA hosts Missouri for homecoming on Saturday between the hedges.

SAM PITTMAN (OFFENSIVE LINE COACH)

In his second year at UGA, Pittman has steadily shaped Georgia’s offensive front into a unit that is providing plenty of running space for Nick Chubb, Sony Michel and the rest of the Bulldog running backs, as well as good pass protection for QB Jake Fromm. The play of the offensive linemen will be crucial in the big games that await Georgia and Pittman should have his guys up for the challenge.

LORENZO CARTER (OLB, #7)

Coming back for his senior season at UGA, the 6-6, 243-pound Carter has finally lived up to all the hype surrounding him when he came out of Norcross High School as a 5-star recruit. Carter has wreaked havoc off the edge for this sterling Bulldog defense, whether it’s stopping a ball carrier in his tracks or surging through to sack the opposing quarterback. Carter’s pass rush will be needed against Missouri quarterback Drew Lock Saturday night between the hedges.

JAKE FROMM (QB, #11)

Since stepping in for the injured Jacob Eason in the first half of Georgia’s season opener against Appalachian State, this 6-2, 225-pound freshman signal-caller out of Houston County High has displayed remarkable poise in leading the Bulldogs’ offense … whether he’s connecting on crucial pass completions or running the ball for touchdowns, as he did twice in the blowout win at Tennessee. The play and leadership of both Fromm and Eason will be vital for the offense over the next five SEC outings.

TYRIQUE MCGHEE (CB, #26)

Earning playing time in the Bulldogs’ secondary after starter Malkom Parrish was sidelined for the early part of Georgia’s schedule McGhee, a 5-10, 187-pound sophomore, has played outstanding football. He intercepted Tennessee quarterback Quinten Dormady on the Vols’ first play from scrimmage and also had four pass breakups as the Georgia defense pitched a shutout in the 41-0 win. McGhee will be counted on heavily while defending the Mizzou receiving corps.

TYLER CLARK (DT, #52)

This 6-4, 305-pound sophomore out of Americus has performed steadily throughout the season as the Bulldogs have continually rotated their defensive linemen. Especially after starter Trenton Thompson was injured in the Tennessee game, Clark stepped up with four total tackles and totally neutralized the Vols’ offensive front and Georgia needs another big performance from Clark going forward.

JAVON WIMS (WR, #6)

Entering UGA after playing junior college football at Hinds Community College in Mississippi, the 6-4, 215-pound Miami native has made big contributions to the Bulldog offense the past two seasons. Wims has excellent hands and uses his height to climb up over opposing defensive backs to snare the football. Wims is expected to play an even bigger role as the Bulldogs move into the meat of their SEC schedule.
