Daily Dawg Thread 13 March 2020: Recruiting update on James Williams

It’s been just about a month since five-star, 2021 defensive back James Williams named his top-three schools of Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia.

Since then, the talented junior out of American Heritage High School has been receiving more scholarship offers from programs across the country and is currently favored to the Bulldogs.

UGA offered Williams back in November of 2018 during his sophomore year, and he took an unofficial visit to UGA at the end of last spring in May. Williams was also back in Athens during the fall for Georgia’s home game versus Kentucky in October and then again for the Texas A&M game in November.

247Sports rates the 6-foot-5 and 218 Williams as a five-star prospect, the No. 1 safety, the No. 1 player from the state of Florida, and the No. 5 overall recruit nationally for the 2021 class currently. ESPN also rates Williams a five-star prospect while Rivals has him as a four-star.

You can watch James Williams‘ most recent highlights from his 2019 junior season by clicking on the video below as well as his 2018 sophomore season highlights in the second video.
