UGA offered DeSoto High School football teammates Byron Murphy II and Shemar Turner on Thursday.
Byron Murphy is a 6-foot-2 and 284 lbs defensive line prospect for the 2021 recruiting class. The offer from the Bulldogs is Murphy’s tenth overall, and he also holds offers from Colorado, Georgia Tech, TCU, and Utah. 247Sports rates the junior a three-star defensive tackle prospect as does ESPN and Rivals. Byron Murphy DT 2021Murphy’s teammate, Shemar Turner, is also a 2021 d-line prospect. The 6-foot-4 and 266 lbs junior is rated a four-star strongside defensive end prospect by both 247Sports and Rivals, while ESPN rates Turner a three-star for 2021. Turner has over 30 scholarship offers so far, and including the one from the Dawgs, he has offers from Alabama, Colorado, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, TCU, Texas A&M, and Utah to name just a few.
