“Ian Book he’s a great quarterback. What really, really shows up on film is that he extends plays. He can run the ball really well,” said Reed. “He reminds a lot of Johnny Manziel, and we’re going to have to watch out for him to be able to contain him.”

And just how do Reed and the Dawgs’ defense go about containing Ian Book? What is the challenge?

“He’s a runner so you have to have everything covered, and the next thing you know, he squirts out and runs for 20 yards because everyone’s back is turned,” said Reed. “So we got to be able to contain him, prevent him from extending the plays, and making big plays.”

Jokingly, with a smile, Reed said if he was playing Madden, he would spy Ian Book. You can watch J.R. Reed‘s full interview from Monday by clicking on the video below.
