It is our pleasure to welcome The Grit Tree to the Bulldawg Illustrated family. Beginning in September 2009, TGT has been a favorite of mine and a staple of the Georgia blogosphere. The Lewis Grizzard posts and barbeque joint reviews are always a welcome treat and will continue the The Grit Tree puts down roots in new surroundings.

Corbindawg Welcome aboard fellas, and if you are ever in Jackson Ga, give the Blind Pig a try, it is my favorite pulled pork around, their baked beans are fantastic too

BMacDawg87 Corbindawg Now you talkin BMac..  That’s where my father lives and I can second that recommendation  !

Corbindawg I’ll second that.  However a not-so-distant second in my book is The Oink Joint in Zebulon, GA

Though not “traditional”, Southern Soul on SSI is the best, and in my view any other is a distant second.

    Welcome aboard, guy.

I’m waiting for the answer to one of life’s most important questions, “________________ is the best barbecue joint in Georgia?”
