Kirby Smart praised the work ethic that his freshman tight ends, Isaac Nauta and Charlie Woerner, have shown over the summer. “Both Nauta and Woerner have come in and really pushed the other guys”, said Smart during yesterday’s press conference.

How fast they learn, will determine how fast they get on the field. Can they help and special teams? Both of them have great body types – length, size. But, again, Coach Chaney has a history of being able to use those type guys. I have seen it firsthand.

Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

TE is a deep and talented group. This was a group we were excited about last year too, and for whatever reason; lack of utilization, necessity, ect., we just didn’t see the production.
This 2016 TE group is even better than last year’s. Really looking forward to seeing them, hopefully, utilized in the offense as more than just extra blockers.
