Dawgnation4  There is little question that he is doing exactly that.
Very few recruits are going to be able to command the type of attention that Drob did. I do not see an issue. Kids that follow the program that CKS lays out will require less de-recruitment.

Interesting thought, Do you think CKS is telling some recruits not to go public with their commitments until he gives them okay, in order to keep the momentum moving forward?

While I loved the timing of the Blount announcement, it could raise an issue. Kids/recruits want their announcements to be special most of the time and it could be seen as CKS manipulating their announcements to benefit the school. Also, if we truly have 6-10 more silent commits, could them being silent affect their long term decision vs if they were verbally committed? I don’t believe there is anyway to know for sure on the latter question.

Just playing devil’s advocate here, and trying to spark a little fun debate.

Brooklyndawg BahitsAgain It will not happen under the current cable model. Adding a second team from inside the footprint would generate zero dollars for the SECnet – zero. In fact, each would get a share of revenue but bring none. Thus, it ain’t happening.
When a la carte happens ask me again – until then it is a non-starter.

  4. BahitsAgain

AlphaDawg Greg Poole Robertson will definitely have less competition from those on his new team.  I hope that doesn’t slow his progress.  I like the kid and don’t have a problem with his delayed decision or that he wants to go out west.   I wish we got him, but our receivers – WR, TEs and out of the backfield backs will be “sicknasty”.

  5. BahitsAgain

Greg Poole does cheering on “the hacker” constitute as a crime via aiding and abetting?

  6. Brooklyndawg

BahitsAgain Brooklyndawg Greg Poole I don’t want to see either FSU or Clemson in the SEC east, are you kidding, make it even tougher for US to win the east?

  7. BahitsAgain

AlphaDawg Give them a break.  They have to deal with Gus, the ridiculous Auburn hick fan base, and their own low expectations.   They need something to help them to forget about it.

  8. Greg Poole

BahitsAgain All three of those teams would cost SEC a fortune. There will be no additions from inside the conference footprint.

  9. BahitsAgain

Greg Poole I remember Robert Edwards knee injury playing flag on a beach was so bad that he almost could have lost his leg and apparently even his life.   You don’t think about things like that.

  10. BahitsAgain

Brooklyndawg Greg Poole Death sentence, them move Missouri to the West and lure FSU, Clemson or Miami into the east.  🙂

  11. BahitsAgain

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Our draft eligible guys were not Kirby’s, yet he bent over backward to help them get to the league.   Besides being a good person and loyal to the Dawg nation, he knows it is a recruiting tool and that those guys will appreciate it and come back to help via money and/or time.

Butch is a knucklehead…. I mean brick head.

  12. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Hope he stays cause I’ve got a feeling Bobo will make his way back to the SEC

  13. RobDawg

I think Gus is the best long term coach that Auburn could have and highly endorse him for a 5 year extension

  14. Brooklyndawg

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole I’m constantly asking myself, how has a once-successful franchise ended up with the likes of Derek Dooley, than Bootch.

  15. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole And a piss poor job of Ole Boootchy promoting his players to scouts and teams.  There was a quote from one of them in an article that I took as a slam to booootch for not really supporting the draft eligible players.

  16. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg Bob2 Brooklyndawg ZippyMorocco AlphaDawg Not sure, they may be using the attendance rules playbook used by UNC.

  17. Brooklyndawg

Greg Poole I;m going to drop my prayers that the NCAA complete their investigations on UNC, in favor of the hammer being dropped on ‘Ol Piss.

  18. Bulldawg Bob2

Brooklyndawg ZippyMorocco AlphaDawg Punishment for Auburn players is having to go to class #####

  19. Brooklyndawg

ZippyMorocco AlphaDawg No brainer punishment coming up on this one. The Gus Bus will drop off the offending players at the stadium, where they will help clean up any remaining mess left over from their spring game.

Cue the fire alarm in Oxford, Mississippi. Tunsil’s comments appeared to give credence to what is implied in the text message conversation posted on Tunsil’s Instagram account. In those screenshots, Tunsil appears to have directly asked Miller for money to pay his own rent and his mother’s $305 electric and water bill.
When Tunsil allegedly asked Miller for rent money, the screenshot with Miller’s name said for Tunsil to “see Barney next week,” apparently a reference to Ole Miss assistant athletic director for high school and junior-college relations Barney Farrar. Miller also expressed his surprised at the $305 amount for Tunsil’s mother.
“I thought we all agreed on an [amount] — that number keeps changing,” Miller appears to have written. “Someone needs to explain [the] exact cost — I have no way of handling surprise amounts.”

  21. Backwudz

Most likely no need for Blount to recruit either of his OL teammates. When AJC asked him who he would recruit he only named Trevor L.

  22. Bulldawg Bob2

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG  I was about to say, time for you to do up one of your mac daddy edits 🙂

  23. Bulldawg Bob2

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 BenKellam  but I should specify it is unlimited texting. But you and Ben do have a point. It is near impossible for the NCAA to enforce the limits on phone calls.

  24. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg Bob2 BenKellam Like they ever had a chance of enforcing anything else?? lol!  They can’t catch the OBVIOUS cheaters, much less the computer savvy ones!
