What a week.  Now the media is going after UGA for not getting a band.  McGarity drops the ball again. Kirby’s got no allies amongst the GA based newspapers now.  Better keep it high and tight because they are out for blood.

  2. Greg Poole

Kirby indicated tonight that Shaquery Wilson is now a full-time running back – at least for spring

  3. Bulldawg36

the only pic i could find of me and my english bulldog…this was taken in christmas 2009 i believe.

  4. RobDawg

I just can’t seem to be inspired on anything he says….. So what he really should have said is someone dropped the ball and didn’t pay up for somebody to appear or didn’t try hard enough. No way they couldn’t put someone out there. Even a hungry up and comer group will be better than a video

  5. Brooklyndawg

From the report so far, it seemed more the observation of bb gun damage rather than concern the gun was truly a firearm

  6. RobDawg

And not making excuses but toy Bob guns these days can look exactly like a real honest to goodness handgun, so perhaps the maintenance guy saw it, reacted immediately and thought it was real deal. Can’t blame anyone but those who took the risk

  7. Greg Poole

Kirby would say say the gunmen will be suspended and did indicate that thet would be at practice Thursday. They missed today because they were making up missed classwork

  8. Brooklyndawg

Seems as if, once the bb indentation were observed, that’s when things escalated to the 2 subpoenas to investigate throughout the apartment. It’s not dificult to imagine a little mj and liquor fueled rhem doing target practice. Hope they don’t get suspended

  9. DawgLink

They claim $650 damage for the frig alone. You can replace a dorm frig with a new one for less

  10. Bulldawg Bob2

Brooklyndawg Clay is fortunate he didn’t have enough to be charged by the law enforcement entities, but the University may slap him with additional penalties per school policy.

And aye. I am sure Kirby almost popped a blood vessel or two. Clay and Rochester are going to get familiar with the steps at Sanford over the next several months among other things.

  11. Bulldawg Bob2

Brooklyndawg Aye. And I am sure the estimates are maximum amounts. It can probably be repaired for cheaper, but the fact that there is damage that is estimated over $1,000 is part of the reason things went down hill for Clay and Rochester here.

No damage and likely it doesn’t get discovered.

  12. Brooklyndawg

Frankly, I’m more concerned about the allegation of the 2nd subpoenaed investigation finding some drug-related paranaphalia on Clay’s side of the apartment. No drugs were found but CKS’ head must be exploding

dawgmum Bulldawg Bob2 1mandawgpack DawgByte I don’t think we know all the details yet, but at least one or more employees were involved as they were called out to look at reported damage from what I understand. Then things started to evolve from there.

  14. dawgmum

Bulldawg Bob2 dawgmum 1mandawgpack DawgByte Yeah, no blame here; just clarifying that it was employees reporting and not students.

  15. Brooklyndawg

It’s Georgia state law banning bb guns as a projectile firing weapon on a school campus, right? The maintenance guys had no choice.

  16. Bulldawg Bob2

dawgmum 1mandawgpack DawgByte If it was the maintenance manager, it is possible he could have handled between them and the coaching staff, but if it ever came back him that he looked the other way, it could mean their job.

I am not sure it is fair to ask a guy or gal to risk his or her job here because a couple of teenagers decided to goof off and got caught.

Again, I understand that the zero tolerance law and classifying a BB gun as a felony weapon is way over the top, but the law is the problem and the UGA policy.

Let’s not start blaming people for doing their jobs when their butts could be on the line if they didn’t. Get the law and school policy changed.

  17. dawgmum

1mandawgpack DawgByte Pretty sure it was UGA employees who called it out. Somewhere here there is a link to the police report, which only lists employees as “witnesses”.

  18. 1mandawgpack

DawgByte  I doubt it was anyone in a “position” at the university.  It was likely other students living in the same dorm as the athletes no longer have their own dorms as that was deemed “preferential” treatment by administrators.

  19. Bulldawg Bob2

Greg Poole Nah. Not that big of a deal. Plus, I like the nick name Nicky “No Neck”

CLTDawg Greg Poole First come, First to Commit deserves the slot.     Those who wait too long deserve to lose their slot.   GO DAWGS

  21. DawgByte

CLTDawg Bulldawg Bob2 Greg Poole Speaking of Sage, I thought we’d be hearing more from him and that he’d potentially be vying for some PT at Center or Guard.

    What’s up lads?!

Lots of news today. We pick-up a OL from Dunwoody high with plenty of size and strength. Could be productive in a couple of years. I like it. What I don’t like is Rochester & Clay making incredibly poor decisions. WTH is up with the people who spilled the beans? Those arse wipes need to be removed from their positions yesterday!!! I mean if they saw the BB gun, they could have said, “Someone is going to get you in trouble for having it on campus or even gone to a coaches assistant or something. But calling the cops is ridiculous. Sack them!

  23. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie The only place where it might hurt is those camps where coaches from smaller schools were invited to attend and allowed to scout and recruit those prospects that most likely would be considered either walk-ons or lower targets on the board for a bigger program.

Greg is right. Schools will fill scholarship quotas and number with or without satellite camps.

  24. Bulldawg Bob2

Greg Poole Greg who is that? I cannot tell from the front without seeing a number lol

  25. CLTDawg

PTCDawg CLTDawg One more tip: if you’re daughter is anything like me, or like most law students, she’s probably very motivated and has a tendancy to overthink or try to analyze something into perfection. I stressed out a lot over my law school decision, until my Dad slapped some sense into me and reminded me that all the schools were good options and it was up to me to make a call and then completely commit to making it work for me! Tell your daughter not to stress and to enjoy the process! It’s the closest bookworms like us ever get to feeling like a big time football recruit! Lol.

  26. CLTDawg

PTCDawg CLTDawg All very good options. Scholarship options will get better as she hears more from schools and is able to negotiate a bit. Schools have money freed up as the process goes on and students start committing and paying deposits.

All of my friends at Vandy law or who graduated from there absolutely love it. Hard to beat the name brand, and the firms who come on campus there (as well as Emory) are very impressive. Lots of reach to multiple markets.
