Bulldawg36 In regards to Faton Bauta being given the start in the Florida game last year, that is all pretty much mute then since all but 2 of the previous staff are no longer at Georgia and will not be making those decision in 2016.

The coaching staff will do their best to determine which QB gives them the best chance to win and that is who will earn the start and play. And who starts in the first game could change by the 6th game of the season. We’ll just have to wait and find out.

Greg Poole Are we sure there wasn’t a 3rd gunman. Perhaps a lone gunman on a hill outside of the apartment? ####

  3. Bulldawg Bob2

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG Sorry to hear about that Zippy. That part of getting older sucks.

  4. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie Basically anyone that files an open record request may have to wait longer than they did before. It went from the time a entity had to respond to an open record’s request from less than a month to now having up to 90 days.

Keep in mind, that doesn’t mean UGA or any other public institution or entity has to wait the full 90 days to respond to the open record’s request. They can choose to do so sooner.

When I was young I went to a lot of weddings. Now I go to funerals, at least 6/year. He was my SIL’s brother.

  6. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie I know he and a number of other journalists are really ticked off over the new rule / law. And specifically the AJC.

Keep in mind, UGA coddles the AJC a little too much IMO, or at least they did under the previous staff. Not so sure they are going to get as much love as they used to under the new staff, and they are not happy about it.

  7. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie would be shocked if he doesnt know that. probably just trying to rile people up from his high horse

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg Bob2 PatriotVeteran Hey RRD just FYI
    Hey old guys,
The SEC Sevens Championships will be live streamed this Saturday, which UGA
has qualified for as the #5 seed.
“Purple Moose media will be our on-site media presence this Saturday. We
have arranged for the live link to be managed directly through our
conference website (www.southeasternrugby.org) with a copy to be uploaded
to YouTube directly afterwards. Please direct your parents, friends, and
supporters to our site if they are unable to attend in person.”

  9. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie I think one or two did, but I am surprised he didn’t get blasted over it. He should know that too.

  10. Bulldawg36

If the staff thought so highly of lambert then why did they risk their jobs by starting 3rd string Bauta vs FLA in the biggest game of the season. Lambert may of had a good record as a starter but we beat nobody good last year- heck. Our 10-3 season got richt fired.

  11. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36 just bring you some ear plugs you can pop in, and you’ll be able to make it through it.

  12. Bulldawg36

Yep. That’s why lambert is the safe pick to win us some ball games. Lol. I just think lambert is just more ready than other guys

  13. Bulldawg36

Zeier and Stafford didn’t start the season as true freshmen and so I think the same will happen with Eason. I think Eason will start by the 4th game but I wouldn’t bet on it

  14. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36 The music is only going to be for half an hour at most I believe, probably closer to 15 minutes.

  15. PTCDawg

So our QB that was one miracle play in Knoxville of going 11-1 last year is consigned to the trash heap of third team behind one guy that has 74 career pass attempts with 4 TD and 4 Ints, and another guy who has never been on the field of a live college football game and was last seen 4 months ago finishing his high school career in Washington.
    Okey dokey.
Who Kirby starts against UNC has nothing do with what the safe choice is, it has nothing to do with who has the most experience or the best arm strength or who might win the SEC CG. I am quite certain the one and only factor that matters to Kirby Smart as to who will start at QB against UNC, and against every other team is…who does Kirby Smart think gives the Georgia Bulldogs the best chance to win that game.

  16. Bulldawg36

Well he is just an average qb who won’t take over a ball game but protects the ball pretty well….and commands the huddle. It’s his job to lose I believe. If he performs badly I’m sure Kirby will pull him in the Unc game

  17. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36 You don’t think the coaching staff will go with the QB that gives them the best chance to win?

  18. Bulldawg Bob2

MMCSDAWG In order to see that,  they would have to play an actual game against another opponent. While a scrimmage attempts to simulate game action, there is no substitute to the real thing.

  19. Bulldawg Bob2

BahitsDawg Even if the coaches allowed the QB’s to be hit in a scrimmage, G-Day is still not going to be the same as an actual game. In other words, you risk the QB getting injured without really learning much more about your QB.

You never really know how well a player is truly going to do and react to getting hit till they experience during a regular game when everybody is flying around the field and an opponent isn’t holding back.

  20. Brooklyndawg

It’s fascinating to hear that it appears as if the O-line can do the job, when none of us have seen anything yet. This must be the la-la land so often talked about.

  21. MMCSDAWG

BahitsDawg I said the same exact thing the other day!   I would like to see them in action and by that I mean in Real Game action.  Not green jerseys!

  22. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 Hit is one thing.  It is how they are on follow up plays that concern me.  Something rattled that man’s mind in most games last season.

  23. Brooklyndawg

We well know what happens when Ramsey and Lambert are pressured and are hit. So, what’s new there? And you’re not going to risk the franchise by hitting a guy still making HS mistakes. You forgot your ###!

  24. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 There you go.  Summer 2015 all over again.  BD36 – GO LAMBERT!  LAMBERTs the  MAN!

I feel like I am suddenly in a time machine.

  25. BahitsDawg

With 3 healthy and competing QBs, wouldn’t it be good to lift their black no contact jersey’s and see how they react after being hit?

We sure will find out game 1 in the spring.   Some guys rise up, and some guys slink.

  26. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 PatriotVeteran yea no point in naming a starter with the season so far away, keep up the competition

  27. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie granger35 I don’t have ESPNU, so I will try to stream it.

It would be fun to be there…. and see some Ludacris football!
