Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG Bulldawg36 That’s good, hopefully you will be sprinting around the house real soon!

  2. ZippyMorocco

Doc R Bulldawg36 Glen Harrison, Jimmy Poulus, Kent Lawrence, Fred Barber, Bob Taylor

  3. Bulldawg36

Lars was the man- I remember watching him terrorize Arkansas in the 1987 Liberty bowl

BenKellam Greg Poole Big difference over there…  Have you heard one single report or interview with respect to J. Pruitt since he arrived at Alabama?  Nope, and you won’t.  Unlike his time here, there is another Alpha dog over there and he’s the boss and there is NO doubt about that.

  5. Bulldawg36

List the percentages of former coaches returning to UGA
    1. Bobo 30 %
    2. Thomas brown 10%
    3. Bryan McClendon 5%
    4. Mark Richt -100 %
    5. Jim Donnan – 200 %
    6 Joe Kines – 500 %

Greg Poole Worth it. Waiting for his torpedo to hit t town. Hopefully for their sake saban has a big enough broom to sweep whatever it happens to be under the table like he does with everything else.

Bulldawg36 Worley and Henderson were awesome too.  Same backfield one year with Lars Tate—-3 NFLers at one time.  R. Edwards was a beast.  Too many to name

  8. MMCSDAWG

ZippyMorocco Bulldawg36  ole Al Poolard huh!!!   Didn’t he go to West Point??  lol!

    how’s the knee doing?

  9. MMCSDAWG

Bleudawg Bulldawg36 I was thinking Davis as well, but your right, it’s hard to go against Knowshon.   Lars Tate in 86 and 87 was a beast!

  10. Bulldawg36

Remember how Hearst turned the corner on vandy in homecoming of 1992? Man was he gone..he went around that corner faster than you could blink your eyes

  11. Bleudawg

Bulldawg36 man thats a tough question, I like them all. I was fond of Hurst.  On a sentimental note I like 22 (knowing he shouldn’t be on the list).  Moreno was of course fun while he was here.  man so many to choose from.  Davis….maybe

MMCSDAWG Bleudawg PatriotVeteran I of course think we have the staff and talent to beat anyone on any given day.  BUT we are young.  Im picking UF because I think they too have talent and a good staff but are a year ahead of us. We catch and pass them next year.

Greg Poole BenKellam Long time til February!   A lot could happen between now and then.  All I know is Pittman is a night and day improvement over what we had last season.  Nothing against R. Sale, but he was in over his head and our entire offensive staff seemed dysfunctional.  The key for me, is the fact that Pittman and Cheney have worked together before and there is no feeling out or getting to know expectations involved in our offensive core.

Who is your favourite UGA RB of all- time besides Walker & Gurley? Mine would be Robert Edwards! Deceptive speed and could break tackles! Will always wonder what kind of season he could of had in 1995 when he turned his angle in that cow pasture!!!!!

  15. BenKellam

Greg Poole You know I think Isaiah Wilson and Calvin Ashley will round out the class nicely. Hand me another pitcher of koolaid. I’m thirsty.

  16. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG Yes, I’ll go to both sessions. This visit is my favorite non-football event of the year. It is a great thing that UGA and the team does for those kids.

This is great news! 4Dawgs and I have a 9 year old who is a Camp Sunshine camper. What an amazing and magical place. Last year was her first year and she really enjoyed seeing the team and getting autographs. She isn’t much of a football fan just yet, but still thought it was pretty cool and knew mom and dad would be excited about it.
She especially enjoyed meeting Coach Richt. She is so excited about returning to Camp Sunshine this year and asked just a few days ago if the football team would be there again. I didn’t know, but I will be happy to pass along the good news tonight.

Greg Poole You going out there this year boss?  I like every photo we can get before camp!!! lol

  19. MMCSDAWG

Bleudawg PatriotVeteran Not sure why you picked UF??  I agree we may not win it all or even the SECe this year, but I too am ready to “get it on” between the white lines and see how this team develops and matures throughout the season!

AlphaDawg  m Thye cut was the best block on the reel. Most of those plays, like the video of most really big guys, are just rolling over much smaller guys.
Note the first play on the reel, he is way too slow getting to the hole – all that said, in a couple of years after high school he will be very good

  21. DawgDaddy

AlphaDawg He really blows some of those guys up completely.  Looking forward to seeing him in Athens.

  22. Bleudawg

PatriotVeteran I have my Kool Aid IV wide open. I dont however believe we will win the East. Likely UF imho. I do however expect a very talented class and a ton of underclassmen performing at a high level. Like every year before I am predicitng next yearis the year…… only this time I really believe…

  23. Doc R

MMCSDAWG dsw61 Chubb with 201, Sony with 148, rest of backs combine for 74 yds, then you have Lambert 8-10 for 33 yds, and Eason 16-22 for 267
Go add that up, and you will have your game total
