This week’s episode of Threading the Needle features author, college football historian, and journalist Patrick Garbin.
Patrick is a freelance journalist, a member of the FWAA, and the primary Research Writer as well as the secondary Team and Recruiting Writer for UGASports.com of the Rivals network and Yahoo! Sports. Patrick has been recognized as an authority and historian of college football with 10 published books and his 11th book, Hidden History of Georgia Bulldogs Football, is scheduled to be released during the summer of 2020.
The University of Georgia athletic department reestablished the Hugh Hendrix Memorial Award beginning in 2014 after the honor had been mistakenly discontinued by the UGA football program for more than 20 years due to the efforts of Patrick.
The Hugh Hendrix Memorial Award is given to the player who strains his potential.
